Roaming around Rome

We thought we would spend our last day in Rome doing some shopping. We wanted to visit a couple of markets recommended by Rick Steves but could not find the first one. Instead, we viewed some fabulous ruins.

We finally found a market and did some serious shopping.

This is a picture of me on the Spanish Steps. We wandered around and eventually returned to the steps quite by accident, from the top.

We got so lost and turned around that we ran into the Trevi Fountain about 4 times! But we enjoyed the shopping in between.

There are little drinking fountains like this one all over Rome. You can take a drink or fill your water bottle. I want to know where the water comes from and where does it go?

Pantheon, AGAIN! We didn't get enough of it the first time.

Trevi Fountain

I am tossing in the coins for Ms. Bauder and making her wish. Hope it comes true!

There must have been thousands of people all over this fountain. Look in the background of the picture if you don't believe me.

Appian Way and Catacombs

We could not take pictures in the Catacombs so I bought a book that shows how the early Christians were buried since they did not believe in cremation.
